Cookie policy

Applies to widesprout.com and every WideSprout brand · Last updated 19 October 2026

In short. widesprout.com only uses the cookies it needs to work. No advertising cookies, no third-party analytics.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser so it can remember things between pages or visits, such as whether you are logged in.

Similar technologies, like local storage, work in the same way. This policy covers them too.

2. Cookies we use

On widesprout.com we only use strictly necessary cookies, which do not need consent:

  • WordPress login cookies (wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_*, wp-settings-*): set only for editors who log in to manage the site.
  • Test cookie (wordpress_test_cookie): checks that your browser accepts cookies on the login page.

3. Third-party cookies

We don’t embed YouTube players or advertising networks on widesprout.com, and our fonts and images are served from our own server. YouTube and social networks only set cookies after you follow a link to their sites.

Our brand sites (Travel, Stories, Español and Recipe) may use analytics or other cookies. Each one shows its own consent banner and cookie details.

4. Managing cookies

You can see and delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, and block them for all or some sites.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies only affects logging in; reading the site works without them.
